Seeking Savvy Communications/Political Science Intern

Dynamite Network is looking for a savvy Communications and Political Science Intern for our summer term (running May 4 - August 28, 2009). 

The Intern will be responsible for Communications and Political Science strategy for developing a strategy of leveraging our technology towards political campaigns.  The person in this position will also assist in creating a communication program for our product launches directed at political campaigns.  The intern will work remotely as well as have a need to meet face to face. The interns schedule is milestone and target driven.

All interns at Dynamite Network Solutions work with a team of professionals where you will gain valuable experience and industry contacts.  Depending on the success of the program, there is potential for employment after the internship ends. 

This individual will play a key supportive role on the Communications team.

The person selected for this position will be responsible for assisting and coordinating winning strategies, plans and resources around promoting Dynamite Network Solutions and our video embedding technology.

Minimum commitment is 20 hours per week.

Essential Job Functions:

* Assist in building direct relationships with political advisors in need of web development, video technology strategies.  Must also identify needs and opportunities.

* Help to co-ordinate in promoting the company through PR and Communication campaigns such as email, newsletter, direct one- on- one interaction

* Co-ordinate resources around opportunities and proposals as a way to target our potential clients.

* Identify and develop potential partnership opportunities for accounts and opportunities

* Manage a work with our database to increase lead generation.

As a key player on the communications team, you will report directly to the VP of marketing and communication. 

Competencies, Experience & Requirements:

. A current student or graduate from a communications or political science program.

. Must be computer savvy and have some knowledge of computer programs such as newsletter, email blast, and presentation programs.

. Proven success in communicating messaging, proposal development and PR materials

. An ability to leverage ideas and technologies to establish competitive differentiators

. Develop strategies to win new business in addition to reviewing current methods

. Co-ordinate internal website updates.
